yeah i know. despite the age gap and parental authority, i know you
have a great relationship with your mom whereas i'm totally the
opposite. perhaps the thing with your MIL is that you didn't grow
up with her like how you did with your mom.
at the end of the day, so long as it's not a frosty
relationship, don't bother too much.
My mum never really welded parental authority on
us when we started to grow and can be reasoned with. I think for
MIL is more lf a language barrier more than anything else. I tend
to get along with my elders unless they are too nosey and try to
exert too much authority. When they do that, all hell tends to
break loose with me. I’m usually very nice and peace-loving but
once you step on my tail too many times I can turn extremely
nasty.
It's not frosty but I am glad that I'm not living
with my in-laws or it will just be so awkward at home.
